Roadmap of the safari expedition

Day 1 | WINDHOEK | Arrive and are picked up at the airport and go to the guesthouse. We all meet for dinner and discuss the trip |
Day 2 | WINDHOEK TO OTJIWARONGO | We pick up our vehicles and go shopping for food for the trip and then head north to Otjiwarongo’s Cheetah Reserve |
Day 3 | OTJIWARONGO TO ETOSHA | One of the largest reserves in Africa at 22000 sq km |
Day 4&5 | ETOSHA | Game drive where 114 mammal species and 340 bird species can be found. Each campsite has a floodlit waterhole where animals can be viewed throughout the day or night |
Day 6&7 | ETOSHA TO PALMWAG | Visit a Himba village, morning and evening game drives. Semi- desert conditions where you could spot the desert lion and elephant, cheetah, zebra and black rhino on a game drive |
Day 8&9 | PALMWAG TO UGAB WILDERNESS CAMP |
The river only flows a few days a year providing water for species such as the rear desert elephant, giraffe, mountain zebra and the black rhino |
Day 10&11 | UGAB TO SWAKOPMUND | We stay at a guesthouse for 2 nights. The cities German origin is evident in the beautiful German colonial buildings that line the streets. You have the day to yourself where you can enjoy a hot air balloon ride, visit dune 7, skydive or quad bike in the dunes |
Day 12&13 | SWAKOPMUND TO SOSSUSVLEI |
Is home to the huge red sand dunes for which Namibia is so renowned. A pre dawn visit to catch the sunrise on the dunes, a photographers dream. Walk around Sossusvlei itself and over into the mysterious Deadvlei |
Day 14 | SOSSUSVLEI TO WINDHOEK | Our last day we head back to Windhoek to a guesthouse and have our farewell dinner |
Day 15 | DEPART WINDHOEK | Return vehicles and transfer to airport |
